Rate the oft-absent Platypus's FF Team!

    Greetings, PPO'ers!
It is I, the Magnificent Monotreme, BBQ Platypus!
    Rejoice, for I have returned!!!

    ...

    What?
    You guys don't remember me?
    It's been THAT long?
Well, given the plethora of unfamiliar names in the "Who's Online"list, it's not surprising.

Anycrap, although I was unable to join the PPO Fantasy League for personal reasons (i.e. laziness), I do have an FF team of my own in a private 8-man Fanball league, so I decided to see what you folks thought of it.
    (I drafted 7th in a snake-style draft).

    QB Carson Palmer, CIN (R2)
    QB Matt Leinart, ARI (R9)

    RB Shaun Alexander, SEA (R1)
    RB Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (R4)
    RB Cedric Benson, CHI (R8)

    WR Steve Smith, CAR (R3)
    WR Anquan Boldin, ARI (R5)
    WR Andre Johnson, HOU (R6)
    WR Braylon Edwards, CLE (R7)
    WR Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ (R12)

    TE Ben Watson, NE (R10)
    TE Jason Witten, DAL (R14)

    PK Nate Kaeding, SD (R11)
    PK Josh Scobee, JAC (R16)

    Def Dolphins (R13)
    Def Jets (R15)

I'd get rid of one def or one kicker and add a RB if there was one avail that was worth picking up.

I have several of the same players on a couple of my teams as well.
Good luck to ya my friend.
    ;D

How many WR's and RB's do you start Ohhhhhhhh Insane one?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

In my league, we start 2 RB's and 3 WR's. I personally prefer to have at least a backup kicker because it's so difficult to predict how well a kicker's season will go.
I'll drop a defense if a suitable sleeper at running back reveals himself.

I think my team's success or failure will all depend upon how well Alexander and, to a lesser extent, Jones-Drew does.
They'll be at least decent starters, but whether or not they tear up the league is hard to say.
I'd say that Carson Palmer is
pretty much a sure thing, as is Steve Smith.
In general, I think I'll end up doing well.

I also am relying on him this year in the PPO league.
Hope that line does better and his foot is healed.

I'm really surprised that Alexander was still available with the 7th pick.

IMHO, I think you left yourself short on RBs in an 8 man league.

If LenDale White, V. Morency, or L.Jordan are out there, might want to pick one of those guys up.
White right now at this point seems to have a starting job with goal line carries.

I have never been in an 8 man league but even in the 10 and 12, WR pop up through out the season more than RBs do.

WRs like Jacoby Jone, Mike Williams, S Rice, Ferguson will all have a chance to emerge.
Not so much Mike Williams, just had to throw his name in there.
