I always like these kinds of threads where everyone can put up their fantasy team and see what other people think about it. We just did our draft today and here is my team. Let me know what you think! I picked 5th out of 8 in a snake draft.

Well... you definitely hit the nail on the two first choices. Some people stayed away from Peyton Manning this year because he's injured, but I think he can play in week 1. You really need a second running back though.

I'm playing with friends in a 8 team league.

I'm never fully happy with a draft, but I think this is OK. Will be trying to trade for a tackling machine like Patrick Willis or James Laurinatis since the league rewards tackles pretty good. Also, Jared Allen is available, maybe I should take him instead of some of the other guys on defense. I have a feeling he will do good this season.

Biggest risk is maybe Ochocinco, but I think there's a good chance that he'll have a phenomenal season with Brady throwing to him. I could replace him with Carolina's Steve Smith, but he's even more risky considering he has a rookie QB.

Any advice is appreciated!

Whatever you do, dont take JA on the team. Wont get enough tackles for his 10 sacks to be worth it.

Rivers is top 4 fantasy qb.

gates wont play 10 games
ocho is a great gamble. could have 80 catches
hillis sucks.

drop mcnabb now.
jones might go off hard this year or get hurt on opening snap. risk vs reward with him. great to have on bench and see what happens
lynch is garbage.
brit should be suspended.
olson is nice te sleeper
manningham is nice bench
ss is old and risk/reward player

defence wise, its good, but get ride of winfield. if you can have all linebackers, do that. they have the most chances to get tackles. if you need one DB, take a safety. again, higher chance for tackles (even tho winfield is a tackling machine).

I was thinking just the same as far as defensive players go. Allen is probably not worth the 10-15 sacks. Have proposed trade for Patrick Willis. A cornerback is probably not a good pick, but Winifield has had 90+ tackles seasons before and will probably force a fumble or two and make at least two interceptions this year if healthy. If I can't get a top linebacker then I see no other choice than to keep him in.

Peyton Hillis was the fantasy surpriser last season, don't think he will repeat that, but he's the best I got at the moment.

I've never played in a league with defensive players. How does that work exactly?

You get points based on tackles, picks, fumbles, etc. points change based on the league.

That sounds really cool. I'd love to try a league like that. Is on on ESPN? My big pay league is a PPR league, but I've never seen one with defense.
