    Not sure.
    Did you check the rules?

It doesn't say precisely but I'm pretty sure you do get the points if they score a touchdown(6pts) on a kickoff or punt return but you don't get any points for the yards(and if they fumble you will lose points).
No, the correct page very clearly states that return TDs go to the Defense.
    Here:

    Rules for Def

    Event Range (Low-High) Points Test?
Number of Punt Return TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Number of Kickoff Return TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Number of Defensive Fumble Recovery TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent) 1-99 2 points each Test
Number of Interception Return TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Interceptions Caught 1-99 2 points each Test
Number of Blocked Field Goal TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Number of Blocked Punt TDs 1-10 6 points each Test
Sacked a QB 1.0-20.0 1 point each Test
Safeties 1-99 2 points each Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 0-100 10 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 101-150 7 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 151-200 5 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 201-250 4 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 251-300 3 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 301-350 2 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 351-400 1 Test
Total Net Yards Allowed 401-999 0 Test
Opponent Total Points Scored 0-1 5

Opponent Total Points Scored 2-7 4

Opponent Total Points Scored 8-14 3

Opponent Total Points Scored 15-25 2

Opponent Total Points Scored 26-100 0

Hmmm... so, if I have Devin Hester, it doesn't matter because the KR touchdown goes to the Bears defense?

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense...
    Welcome to FF.
Every league I have ever been in (or know of) is like this.
When you draft a defense you are also drafting Special Teams.

Actually looking at it again it lists the points under the defensive scoring, so I guess whoever has the defense gets the points. So if say you started Hester and he gets a td on kick returns I don't think you would get any points for that(opposite of above statement), then the bears defense gets the points. Kinda dumb if you ask me, let's all send Zeus hate mail. ;D

    I know.
I am in a yahoo league that it would go to him, so I specifically picked him up.

Yep. I'm going through right now and picking starters for the whole season just so I'm covered. It's kinda confusing though.
