    PPO - FANTASY FOOTBALL - 2007 Post-Mortem thread

Hey - this is something that we do following big projects.
    Discuss what worked, what didn't.

I know it's a few months after the 2007 season, but I'm interested in starting a quick discussion about what you all thought about the PPO FF season last year.

What's your opinion on roster size?
    Makeup?

    Divisions too small?

Points system - just right or way off?
    Playoffs - system adequate?

Toss out your 2 cents and let's get a discussion.
Maybe the Commish will take heed and make a few tweaks!

    ----

    My first thought - I don't like 8-team divisions and all-star rosters.
Too much talent spread across the teams that at times, my reserves out-pointed the opponent I was playing.
I'd like to investigate 2-division conferences with 12 teams in each conference, 6 in a division.
I suppose that depends on how many owners sign up.

My second thought - owners who don't play.
There has to be a solution for owners who fail to submit lineups over and over and over.
Honestly - I don't care if you couldn't make the draft or it auto-drafted for you.
My team was auto-drafted, scored the most points and then made the final where Webby cheated to win.
So - tough noogies if if didn't work for you.
    This is a NON-MONEY LEAGUE.
So the only people you hurt by not playing if the draft fucked up are your "friends" on PPO.
It's not like you lost a single dime.

So - 2007 Owners - here's a chance to sound off and put some thoughts out there!

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I wouldn't mind having bigger divisions, seing as how some people didn't play and never submitted rosters.
It was unfair to get 2+ games against each team, I'd rather 1 game against more teams.

I actually found our league very entertaining.

What's your opinion on roster size? No Issue Makeup? No Issue
    Divisions too small?
It would be nice to have at least 2 more per div but I understand the complexity of getting as many to play as we have already.
Points system - just right or way off?
I think it is ok or really isn't a concern as everyone uses the same point system
    Playoffs - system adequate?
I want to make the playoffs this year.
    ;D

I think about it like this - if you don't take a moment to give your 2cents now, then you had better not bitch during the season.

It would be nice if they held the draft on the weekend, in the middle of the day or something.

    Re: PPO - FANTASY FOOTBALL - 2007 Post-Mortem thread

My only beef was the fact that so many people who got into the league, didn't show up during the actual season and play.

I don't like to sound negative but that would be
a tough problem to fix also I believe.

    But I would suggest,
if somene misses TWO weeks of submiting players (lineups )
that we have a list in place of guys who do want to jump in and take over for that player....

    As for the layout,
I've only been playing fantasy with PPO, or anywhere else for that matter, and I find the system fun and okay with me.
I really started to get the swing of it last year and was much more active myself with trades and drops of players.

But I won't say I'm not up for possibly making it more challenging or for improvements others might find fit.

I just want to know, when do we start up again ?

    ;D

I think the time that the draft is shouldn't be so ridiculous late for us Europeans, that why i got M.Vick in the first round last year!!!

I'm trying to think Mr.H., What could help with that problem.
I wouldn't mind a morning Draft.....Do you think an early morning draft, based on US Time, would help you guys on the other side?..

Just a thougt, and I would be fine with it.
