Madden question

So i was playing madden 06 this morning and i was going to return a punt and then i saw there was like 6 different plays for the PR and i was just wondering has anyone EVER blocked a punt or a field goal??? Because i've never done it and ive never seen anyone else do it.

I've got 05 for gamecube, I have never blocked a punt, although I've been very close. I have blocked a long field goal attempt, though.

I have 06 on gamecube and while I am pissed that if I make a superstar he always gets drafted by teams I HATE.

I can say that I did block a punt, or the computer did rather, It wasn't the guy I was controlling.

Never have seen this either, has anyone noticed thought that it's alot easier to take kickoffs back for touchdowns this year, it's like guys get stuck to blocks. Have found though that I am much more addicted to NCAA 2006 than Madden. Love the heisman race, punishing players for infractions, bowl race, and the recruiting is a blast.

ive been able to block punts, but never field goals. it seems in 06 they speed up the kicker as it takes much less time for him to kick, I cant block those now cuz i always get a fast safety and run around the outside to block.

I have PS2, only becuase NCAA didn't come out for Cube and I like to import draft classes. I have two franchises one with the Vikings and one with the Raiders. In my Raiders franchise on All Pro I did a low punt from my end zone and the computer blocked it and caught the block in the end zone for the TD. It sucked! I came from behind to win though.

Does everyone on here use the Vikes, or go with some other team when playing season/franchises???

I'm in the 2nd season of my Vikings franchise, but every other game I've had I've used another team. I guess I feel more comfortable messing with their rosters. That and I kind of like the rain/snow variable with outdoor teams on video games.

NFL2K1 - I used the Seahawsk
NFK2K2 - Eagles, Bills, Falcons, Cardinals, Browns, Vikings(once)
Madden05 (I didn't get a new football game for a while) - Browns/Vikings.

I've been playin madden since 99...and I have NEVER blocked a punt or field goal. There is glitches out there so you can everytime but I dont bother with those. As far as franchies, I'm in year 3 or the Vikes, i've won the superbowl 2 years in a row, I got Joey Porter as a LB threw a trade. After year 1, i realeased Bennett, and picked up Deshaun Foster. After year 2 was up, Phat pat being in his 10th year, he was holding out for more money and longer contract, I cut him, and brought in Jag DT John Henderson ( guys a beast)
