Re: First timer, how am I looking
Looks pretty good overall.
Peyton will usually give you a chance, but might as well mark one down in the loss category for week 2.
Not sure why you would keep guys like Zach Miller and James Hardy on your team unless there are like twenty teams in your league.
I'd look to dump those guys and the extra defense and pick up some more RBs and WRs.
You should at least look at an extra wide receiver - both Owens and Moss have byes the same week.
Obviously I don't know who is available in your league, but some guys that might be are Ricky Williams and DeSean Jackson.
Williams could become valuable if Brown keeps hurting himself.
Jackson has been a go to guy for McNabb already.
I like your starting line-up overall.
The one guy I don't like is Rudi Johnson.
I don't like the team and I don't like his production.
Edge is a solid starter in my book, so I would go with him rather than Johnson.
I would move Johnson for a guy like Deangelo Williams if I could, though I'm not sure what you could package with him if necessary.
Anyways, it's just a game so do what you want.
Good luck. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Re: First timer, how am I looking
for 12 teams, not a bad team. your RBs are kind of week just because both of those starters have lots of question marks around them. good luck

Re: First timer, how am I looking
I think you are in sore shape with your runningbacks. I think James should be your starter above Rudi Johnson. I think you should scour the free agents list and look for some rookie RBs who may have slipped through the cracks.
Peyton Manning, Terrell Owens, Nick Folk and Vikings D are good and you should be in every game, although I think you severely reached for that D and Kicker.

I couln't help bumping up the D. It would have been no fun without them. I will look into picking up a RB.

Re: First timer, how am I looking
Just a thought for future drafts, try to stay away from taking a kicker so soon.
5th round is way too early.
Look to do that at the end of your draft, even after some of your backups.
RB's to look for if not already gone-
Fargas
