Again, another fair assesment.

Instant gratification/win now contingent won't like to hear alot of what he says, especially the last paragraph.

Childress will stick with his young players throughout the tough times, and Peterson will provide some thrills while Rice will make some notable contributions. With too many young players and holes on offense, the Vikings will fall out of playoff contention early in the season. Their young guys, however, will get a lot of work as the team looks to the future, especially late in the schedule.

I don't however, agree that we will fall out ofthe playoff race early as the writer states though.
It is the NFC North for goodness sakes.

Agreed. This is the best division for the Minnesota Vikings. Kudos to the NFC North!

This was under Ferguson's profile.
I wouldn't say pathetic. Average maybe, but not pathetic.

Starter Bobby Wade caught five passes for 85 yards and also threw a 6-yard touchdown. Troy Williamson didn't have any catches and Sidney Rice caught three passes for 21 yards. Ferguson could see significant playing time as part of a pathetic Minnesota receiving corps this year
