2010 PPO FF - Post-Season discussion
Okay - this is the thread for you to make your voices heard.
Did you like this season? Not like it? Want things changed? Post those thoughts here, because THIS is the only thread that I will reference when I set up the league in 2011.

Re: 2010 PPO FF - Post-Season discussion
I am personally not a fan of drafting on labor day weekend.

Re: 2010 PPO FF - Post-Season discussion
Great job and thanks for doing all the work on this. It was a lot of fun.
A few thoughts:
Football is a game of inches, fantasy football should be too. I like exact scoring. 1 yard should be .1pts instead of just doing 10yard increments.
I liked the smaller rosters, but I didn't like the requirements for each position. I would have carried 1 TE and 1QB most of the season. Because every team had 2 QB and 2 TE there was rarely anything available in free agency, the opposite effect smaller rosters were suppose to have.
If there was a way that a team that didn't submit a lineup could be given some sort of default that would be cool. I don't have a problem submitting my lineup each week, but it is annoying when you don't have an opponent.
Was there a waiver system? There should be.

Imo, need to change roster limitations. Especially when autodraft doesn't follow them and I end up with three right ends, for backs and no kicker our defense.
A,lso the ability to submit incomplete lineups. There was one week where I had bye week hell, and I either dump half my roster our don't submit a lineup, I had to do the latter

That's a by-product of waiting to draft until after the 4th pre-season game. Should we draft after the 3rd pre-season game? Or even earlier?

That is something that I will definitely try to tweak.

That's a limitation of the website. You MUST submit a lineup by the time of the start of the first game of the week or you will not be able to change that lineup once the games start. Not much I can do about that.If there was a way that a team that didn't submit a lineup could be given some sort of default that would be cool. If you don't submit a lineup by that time, then you get the previous week's starters by default.
Waivers are set up to be first-come, first-serve, following the conclusion of the Monday night game (I think the actual deadline for first-come, first-serve waivers to start is 2am Tuesday AM).Was there a waiver system? There should be.

That was a definite fuck-up, yes. I'm not certain if it was my issue or the website's. I'm planning on doing a "fake" draft with made-up teams after setting the roster limits to see what happens before people get screwed that way.

What do you mean "incomplete" lineups? Managing your roster due to BYE weeks is a problem in every league and one of the things that managers are expected to handle. Currently, I have the league set up NOT to allow you to start people on BYE weeks. And I like that. If you're stupid enough to draft 2 QBs who have the same BYE week, then you get what you get. Also the ability to submit incomplete lineups. There was one week where I had bye week hell, and I either dump half my roster our don't submit a lineup, I had to do the latter

Re: 2010 PPO FF - Post-Season discussion
As I said last year.....Thanks for running this Z and thanks to Webby for making it happen.
I just have one complaint that probably won't be resolved (again) because of the limitations Webby has wrt funds.
I would like to see the site provide BPA when you search for players instead of just an alphabetical listing.
Work around was to use one of the other sites I am in a league in, however, it was a bit laborious to do that. Again if its funds that limit that I understand. Just have to ask.....
Again, great job. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

You could run a report for top free agents, there was even an add button next to the names.

I couldn't get them to work. Figured it was one of the "options" we didn't have.
