    Re: Zimmerman & Moon > HOF ?

if you add up moons stats from canada and nfl he really deserves to be in the hall of fame even without the cfl stats he deserves it. sad thing is people say canada football isn't nearly as good which is true, however they forget to realize his receivers sucked a lot more too. i sure wish he played nfl his whole career that would show a lot of people how moon is right up there with marino and montana.

moon had 49,000 yards and started the nfl in 1984 and that don't include his canada league stats. 291 touchdowns. he played 16 nfl years, he had 233 interceptions, favre has 396 touchdowns, and 255 interceptions in 15 years. sad thing is moon was almost always on a crappy team. just cause favre has been to superbowls and won them people say he's a hall of famer when he is actually a piece of trach, he didn't win the superbowl his team did and he gets most the credit and glory for it. moon even threw for over 500 yards in one game, moon had an extra 144 touchdowns in the cfl, even if half those touchdowns were in the nfl that would give him around 350 or so.

his stats are up there with marino, however marino is still better; there may not be another marino for quite a while cause dang that guy was good.

Cris Carter and Carl Eller had drug problems, something that SHOULD never be ok, but everyone seems fine with that. My point was not to say it's alright to break the law just so long as you win games, and I don't believe in domestic violence, but if we nitpick at all the B.S. that goes on off the field, a great # of fans would be hypocrites.Should professional athletes get a pass, no! Now murder, rape,.. to hell with them.. throw the book at them..let them rot in hell!
I ll be dead and cold before I m green and gold

To be fair, Carter was never "officially" caught or had any arrests.

i thought irvin was going to make it for sure. i guess with his little run in with the law this year, they might wait till people forget about that.

everyone else who got in is a no brainer. Moon is amazing. nfl + cfl i believe he has over 65000 yards passing.

So what will Moon enter the hall as... a defunct Houston Oiler?

He will go in as an Oiler/Titan.

This is from NFL.com. I guess he is a Titan with the Oiler explanation under it.

    http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/teams.jsp

    Tennessee Titans (6/4)
    (Houston Oilers - 1960-1996; Tennessee Oilers - 1997-1998)

    ELVIN BETHEA (2003) - 1968-1983
    GEORGE BLANDA (1981) - 1960-1966
    EARL CAMPBELL (1991) - 1978-1984
    Dave Casper (2002) - 1980-1983
    Sid Gillman (1983) - 1973-1974
    KEN HOUSTON (1986) - 1967-1972
    John Henry Johnson (1987) - 1966
    Charlie Joiner (1996) - 1969-1972
    WARREN MOON (2006) - 1984-1993
    MIKE MUNCHAK (2001) - 1982-1993

(Don't even look at what 2 teams have the most!
