    Your next favorite team

Since our season is over who are you rooting for other than the Vikings. Don't get me wrong I hope every week that the Vikes will surprise me and win one but I am now looking for someone else to pull for since we won't be making the post season.

My second favorites right now are

    Ravens
    Steelers
    Lions
    Texans

There are certain teams I just cannot ever pull for. Like

    Patriots
    Cowboys
    Eagles
    Raiders
    Broncos
    Packers

The rest of the teams are just sort of meh.

I could honestly care less about any other team than the vikings. I was the kid that threw every card away that wasn't a viking player. I am kind of regretting that today LOL. Bet I threw some pretty valuable cards in the trash.

I have a few other teams that I like, but none nearly as rabidly as our Vikes. Most of these are because I either lived in their town or they are a friend's favorite. Those would be:

Chiefs - I have several friends in CT who are big fans, and I've been on road trips with them to see games in KC.

Cardinals - lived in Mesa, AZ for several years.

Lions - lived in Southfield as a kid.

Bengals - I just love those helmets. Plus, like the Lions, they have been on the short end for so long. Also, I am a Buckeye by birth.

Steelers - One of my good friends here in Indy is a big Steelers fan, plus there is the Schottenheimer/Cowher connection there from KC, as well as Tomlin from us.

Jacksonville - Jack del Rio is one of my all time favorite Vikings.

Saints - Brees is a Purdue boy, and I was telling everyone how good he would be before he was drafted. I do have a tougher time with this after that NFCC, though.

Those I would never, ever root for under any circumstances:

    Cowboys, Raiders, Bears, Patriots.

As for the Packers, not unless they were playing either the Patriots or Raiders in the Super Bowl.

My Meeple is purple. What color is yours?

One team, one passion. The Minnesota Vikings.

    There is no other.

The Gods of Football in 2 different FF leagues.

As for real games, I just root for exciting football and against certain teams - the Packers, the Bears, the Lions, the Cowboys, the Patriots and the Steelers.

If you put a gun to my head, I would say the Texans would by my second favorite team. I like Arian Foster/Andre Johnson. Sucks that Matt Schaub went down because that defense and that offense are down right scary. Vikings will always be my favorite no matter how bad they are. It may take a few years, but I'm willing to wait.

I have friends in the Houston and Detroit areas so I'm kinda pulling for them. Detroit has always kinda been a doormat so I don't yet consider it blasphemy to root for them lol. But I'm sure I'll change my tune on them in the coming years. And the Texans have never made the playoffs, not to mention Houston fans had to tolerate Oiler failure for nearly 4 decades.

I grew up liking the Steelers because they where the only team with one helmet emblem. My wife is from Pittsburgh, so the family has connections with the team. That makes it pretty easy.

That stated, I am a Vikings fan throughout. No other team has my loyalty.

If Wilf moves the team, I would wish the Vikings to be cursed into oblivion.

So, having said that...WAY TO GO, CHIEFS!!!!!
An ugly win is better than a pretty loss.
