Your next favorite team

One team....always has been. I am not sure what I would do if they move. I can say I would have a chance to watch other games at least. I have Sunday Ticket, so I could continue to follow them where ever they may be. I do enjoy having a team that is regional to me though, so maybe over time my dedication to the Vikings may fade if they move.

So, why am I a Viking Fan? My dad was a Viking Fan is a good reason. His best friend was a Viking Fan can be another reason.

My birthday is November 13, 1966. The Vikings lost to Detroit that day, but my dad said I was Vikings fan since the day I was born.

Honestly? To me, blasphemy is switching over to a different team entirely, just because your (not you, personally, shock, but in general) team moves to a different state. Suggests that you're more of a fan of the state the team's in, rather than the team itself. However, if the team changes it's name entirely, then it's a different story. Just the way I look at it.

I think about hopping on the Tim Tebow bandwagon every now and again.

Out of all the teams left, I would like to see the broncos win it all. I'm sure it won't happen, but you never know with tebow.

I'm so sick of Tebow. If he was a Buddhist and played the exact same, no one would talk about him at all. He was mentioned 160 times in a 60 minute broadcast on SportsCenter... he's also an awful QB, but that doesn't seem to matter.

If I recall ... at least at one point ... you were on the give Tarvaris more time bandwagon. I know you have since jumped off, but wouldn't it be a little early to throw Tebow under the bus?

Also ... If he was a Buddhist and wore it on his sleeve as much as he does his Christianity, it would be just as big a story. The story is made because of how good he was in college, how bad everyone thinks he will be in the NFL and the fact that by pretty much all accounts he is an exceptionally good person.

That is the story. Winning while a large majority of people say he will never make it in the league. Being one of the most decorated collegiate athletes of all time and being told that was it, only to come to the NFL and try to prove it wrong.

The Christianity thing is part of it ... for sure ... but the story would be huge no matter what his religion or non-religion was. Hell, if he was Muslim the story would be even bigger.

All that said, I am a Tebow guy ... though not religious in any sense. I like him. I cheer for him. I think he will make it in the NFL. BUT ... I am still getting a little overwhelmed by the ridiculous amount of coverage.

Being in the media business though ... I understand it completely. Tebow=ratings, Tebow=money. That simple.

Tarvaris Jackson isn't being discussed 160 times in a 60 minute show... that's the difference. Well, that and Jackson isn't shoving his beliefs in my face every time he opens his mouth. Also, Tebow's completion percentage is 46.5% (a full 11% lower than Jackson's 2nd career year)

And while Tebow has pulled out some wins, he's 8-4 as a starter... The guy lost to good teams and beat crappy ones... big f'n deal. Just cause the guy says he loves Jesus, ESPN is going to cover him 24/7? I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but he should keep his beliefs to himself - If he was islamic and saying "PRAISE ALLAH!!" after every game, people would had a problem with it. Instead, he says "Praise Jesus" and people lose their sh*t when he beats the Raiders.

If Roethisberger and Mendenhall had been healthy, that game wouldn't have been close. Tebow sucks.

It may not be pretty but Tebow finds a way to win. If he were wearing the purple and gold I suspect there would be a lot of talk about the second coming of purple Jesus around here. That being said I think Brady and the Pats are going to kick the Broncos ass this week.
