You have to like what Martin Mayhew's doing for Lions
The Lions traded Cory Redding and a fifth round pick to Seattle for ex-Spartan Julian Peterson. Dare we say a great move?

Don't buy into the hype.
We Vikings fans know this Mayhew is a figure head.
The HC does all this crap....... ;D

you and i both know every team structure is different... Chilly is the big dogg here... as proven by some fruitful insight by actual guys in the know!..
as far as detroit, it's actually Mayhew.. but I figure if Schwarts can win 5-6 games this season and show significant improvement, i don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility that he could eventually finagle some juice away from Mayhew.. esp. if they bump heads about the direction of the team...

maybe so but i still think he would know more about the structure of the team and who picks who more than you or I would know...
besides when you look at that and the fact that Chilly had a say in hiring Spielman it makes all the sense in the world!
