Packers | Woodson a marked man?

Bob Wolfley, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson might be marked for the 2006 season because he has missed so many games and might not be in top form, according to NFL Network studio analyst Solomon Wilcots. Wilcots said, "I think it's going to take time for Charles Woodson to regain his old form. If you consider the fact that he has missed 22 games in the last four years, that's a lot of sitting over on the sideline in plainclothes, holding a clipboard. So I think there will be some rust. I do think it'll be a slow return." He added, "If I'm a quarterback or a receiver, I'm going at Charles Woodson right away because he has missed way too many games over the last four years. It's going to take him awhile to get back to form. Charles Woodson is really going to have to work to get back."

Pity we don't play the Pack until November, they might have figured out that Woodson needs help by that time.
Still he might still be ripe for being burned a few times :violent3:Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Re: Woodson a marked man?
I'm so glad they overpaid for him. I predict he will never give them their dollers worth.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Woodson a marked man?
10 million for him was ridiculous!
The Pack would have been better off going Brian Williams for 8 million, Brian has up side where Woodson is never going to be the player he was 5 or 6 years ago.
Granted I am glad that they didn't because he would have killed us for years, but this shows how bad the Pack organization has become. They had the most money of any NFL team and did nothing in FA worth talking about or that gives them a better team than they had last year, in fact they lost better players then they brought in.What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Overpaid is an understatement for a guy who cannot stay healthy. It would be funny if the Packers let him play some offense too because that would lead to more injury problems.I'm so glad they overpaid for him. Re: Woodson a marked man?
granted they paid way too much, but I don't think any of it is guaranteed, so WHEN they realize he is a bum, it won't hurt them too bad, which is unfortunate.

Thanks Lotza!
