I think the new celebration rule is good. But why the teams can't come up with that themselves is beyond me. Bud had it right.
i dont like the celebrate rule at all. even time CJ scores, i know i am going to be entertained after he does. i cant wait till the season starts to see what he does within the rules after he scores.
7 new teams in the palyoffs from last year. i wonder which of the last place teams will go from worst to first this year. as long as its not the packers, i dont really care.
Nothing worng with celebrations as long as they don't insult anybody or delay the game. The NFL is being too strict.
The worst rule by far is the one on kickoffs. Onsides kick are already hard enough to recover, why make them harder? The rule is dumb and makes for less exciting finishes. They might as well have a mercy rule in the NFL.
Quote:
Down by contact calls may now be reviewed by instant replay. In the past, a fumble was not subject to review if the ball carrier was ruled down by contact.
Glad to see they have changed this rule, it never made any sense to me. As far as I am concerned any wrong call on the field should have a chance to be overturned.

The celebration rule is COMPLETELY idiotic.
From what I've noticed, the only people supporting the rule are old people, up-tight people(few NFL fans are up-tight a-holes), and the defenders that get burned(not even all of them).
The average fan from what I can see loves the celebration.
People watch football to be entertained and those celebrations are definately entertaining.
I remember watching Bengals games just hoping Chad Johnson would score.
Super-RICH white men. Telling young RICH men when and how to celebrate.
;D

But in fairness, I'm not an "average" fan, so perhaps you're right.
as long as the celebration is not vulgar it should be allwoed
