Will Winslow live up to his pre-draft hype?
KFFL
Browns | Winslow ready to play
Thu, 7 Sep 2006 19:43:20 -0700
Patrick McManamon, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns TE Kellen Winslow is ready for the team's season opener Sunday, Sept. 10. Though Winslow did not talk Thursday, Sept. 7, he has acknowledged in training camp how grateful he is for the chance to play again. He missed most of his rookie season after breaking his leg, and then missed all of his second season after tearing up his knee in a motorcycle accident. "It has been two years since you've seen anything," head coach Romeo Crennel said. "For him to get out there on the field and produce is a plus. It's a positive. I know in his mind it is." If Winslow is close to what he was, he could provide a magical element to the offense. Linebackers would have trouble covering him, and he could provide QB Charlie Frye with a dependable pair of hands in the middle of the field.

He's playing this week?
I had heard that he was riding his tricycle in the driveway and that he had crashed it and hurt his widdle head!

Re: Will Winslow live up to his pre-draft hype?
I rooted for him when he came out and still would like to see him do well, but it will be darn hard for a young man 2 go through 2 major setbacks and still keep his focus on football without getting distracted by things in life his money have been able to buy him.

Does he play for the Vikings?

He will. The dude is tooo talented. In 4-5 years, he will be a Pro-Bowl TE and the Browns, once they get a better QB, will be back in the playoffs.

Did you see that 'almost' catch in the end zone?
This guy will be fun to watch.

Re: Will Winslow live up to his pre-draft hype?
If he doesn't live up to the hype it is because he is on a team that never gets over the hump.
We can solve poverty today.

Re: Will Winslow live up to his pre-draft hype?
Winslow is good, really good.
I predict (and it will happen) that he is the next TO.
He is all about himself and after every ball he did not catch he was all crying to the refs.
The refs will remember this and some time in the future he may not get the benefit of the doubt.

I grabbed him as a second te in my league. The guy has the potential. What he does with it is up to him. He is a gifted player, but his mouth seems to be equally talented.
