Will we see unorthodox tactics in the NFL this year ?

I read an article recently about unorthodox tactics being used in pro baseball (example: taking a pitcher out of a game, by putting him in right field, to then re-insert him later in the same game at pitcher, etc.).

It just got me thinking: will we see this in the NFL this year ? For instance, using two QBs in one game, more option passes by running backs ?

A related topic: is the NFL too conservative ? Do they need to open the game up more and just have more fun and try stuff like this ?

I kindof lump that into "Trick Plays".

Not a big fan of them.
Kindof think of it along the lines of Slash, if we need to make a catch we should put a WR on the field and not a QB.

Interesting, but I don't see that happening with QBs.

I heard that visiting teams would have a bunch of pizzas delivered to the stadium, then the home team would have to answer the door... at which time the visiting team would run a play. It's fact.

I'de like to see us develope some trick plays to take advantage of the times when the other team is that 9 man stack against our Offense.....I would think our coaches could dream up a few good ones for that situation.. I know I have a couple in mind myself that would work I bet...

I used to love the Jerry Glanville Falcons teams of 1989-1992, when they had Deon Sanders. They used to do all kinds of crazy stuff on the field. They once - in the playoffs - pitched the ball back and forth to each other on a kick return, just for the hell of it.

I think we need more of that in the NFL. They need to let the fun back in.

Trick plays are ok on occasions but I'd rather see us concentrate on the basics and mastering the offensive and defensive schemes that we have.

    LOL.
Puetro Rico would fight us tooth and nail.
    And why wouldn't they?
Currently they enjoy all the benefits of being a state without having to pay a dime of federal taxes...
