Re: will the bears be as dominate next season?

Right now, as in (pre-free agency), I don't see much reason to see why we would be expected to be better than the Bears. Fact is, all they really need is a QB, and even if they don't bring ina new one, Orton and GRossman both have more experience.

We on the other hand have tons of questions that need to be answered before we can expect to beat the bears:
    Will Culpepper return to form?
Will one of the WRs step up to become a premeir pass-catcher?
Will one of the RBs step up to become a premeir runner?
Will Childress be a good head coach?
Can we find LBs who wil excel in the new defense?

Now I'm not saying that I don't believe these questions will be answered favorbaly, but they do in fact need to be answered before we can give good solid reasons for us being better than or even competing with the Bears.

The Bears will again be our biggest foe next season..

Their D is solid, and on their O they have a good RB and Good WR's.....

Also, Grossmen showed signs of being a decent QB at the end of the season...

I still don't think their overall team talent is better than ours right now though...

Should be another tight race between us two in the North...

Re: will the bears be as dominate next season?

Their schedule will be tougher next year. Besides games within the division they play NFC West and AFC East (same as us), then they play the two remaining first place NFC Teams. Their opponents include:

    Home and away:

    Vikings
    Lions
    Packers

    Home:

    Bills
    Dolphins
    Seahawks
    49ers
    Buccaneers

    Away:

    Cardinals
    Patriots
    Giants
    Jets
    Rams

I'd be willing to bet though that the schedule makers will favor the Bears by giving them the home games against the two Florida teams (Dolphins and Buccaneers) during December.

The Bears will not make the playoffs next season. They got too lucky with their games this year what with all the INTs that went their way and 107 yard returns. You can't count on that happening all the time, and when the didn't (in the playoffs) they got badly outplayed. I think they will be second in the North, but would be extremely fortunate to get a wildcard.

Look at the year Jauron had when they had a great season and then tanked the following year.

I would not expect anything different from that team next year; its just how they operate.

NOOOO, just like Stuart Scott said on ESPN a while back in training camp the Bears are always good every 3 years, and yes it is true if u look at there track record be cause 3 years ago they were 13-3 and look what happened the next 2 years after that hhhhmmmm.

Re: will the bears be as dominate next season?

    In a word....No.

This year they had the great fortune to face of against some of the WORST Offenses in the NFL. Virtually all season long. Their total lack of an Offense didn't hurt them too badly because of who they played. And, having the Media (idiots) pick them to go 6-10 made a lot of teams take them for granted.

    That won't happen this year.

This year they go in as the Division winner. Their schedule is (presumably) tougher, and teams will take them seriously. Their "D" is good, but it isn't THAT good.

So, no, they may repeat the Divison (Depending upon how We do and Detroit does in the off season), but they will not have anywhere near the success of last season.
