I don't think that we should be looking ahead at a playoff berth just yet. We'd pretty much have to run the table at this point and that would be a surprising turnaround to say the least.

Lets get a win in New York, then take it week to week. If we win out at home and we should be able to avenge ourselves at SF, Denver is playing better, but still can't stop the run.... who knows 8-8, or dare I say it 9-7, is not yet out of reach.

    Thanks Singer.

    I agree with Purpletide.
A bit to early to be buying the playoff tickets, but how exciting is it that we could still possibly make the playoffs?

Crappy NFC and the reps the youngsters got early on in the season gives this optomist hope.

We fought out an ugly win against the Raiders... if we can get a big win this week against the Giants then there is truly hope.
It would give us momentum going into the last few games.
The only two "tough" games would be the Lions at home and traveling to Denver.
I'm still not convinced the Lions are any good and a cold, blustery game in Denver should suit our running game and running defense just fine.
The team needs to step up this week and play a good game (win or lose).
They play a good game I'll have hope that a 5-1 run is possible to close out the season.

    I really miss Mike Tice.
I enjoyed starting out 6-0 and not making the playoffs.

The season is never over until a playoff slot is locked in or they are mathematically eliminated.
Even then the season is not over, there are already too many months of reading mock drafts every year.

You wanna talk about playoffs? PLAYOFFS?!

    You people are smokin' sherm.
And what would the Vikings do when they got into the playoffs? You want the ENTIRE country seeing the Vikes humiliated?

    I think 9-7
will make Wildcars, then we have to go 5-1,the schedule is softer now for us,Lions,Bears and Redskins at Metro and away vs Giants,Frisco and Denver .

We "should" win vs Bears ,Frisco.
Lions ,Wash and Denver anything could happen.
The Giants are a better team than us rite now.

IMO 7 ,or 8 W being optimistic, but you never know we are the Vikes!!

Personally, I think it's more of a matter of enjoying the season and see how it unfolds rather than talking draft before the offseason starts.
The offseason is already way too long.

I take umbrage with that comment.

The NFC wild card race is always so funny. Except that one year..... Fucking AZ.
It's a contest of whoever can blow it the least amount of times get in. I wouldn't be surprised if a 7-9 team gets in, in the near future.
