Thread: Why are we forced to watch the Lions every Thanksgiving?

I really hope after today they look at making a new tradition.

I agree... has to be one of the worst traditions in all of sports.
I find it funny, the fan's don't even care that the lions get blown out, they just accept it, then there's us, someone makes a wrong cut and there's a stadium full of boos

It's harder to laugh when you have food stuffed in your mouth.

they had more passing yards than the titans halfway through the fourth quarter... (but the titans had almost 13 times the rushing yards.)

There were like no fans in the stadium during the 4th qtr.

thats because we expect to win .. once you stop caring like i did in 2006 that means you have lost all competitive faith in your team

I swear if we lose to the lions on next sunday... ill walk to minnesota and kick chilly in the balls

I could care less really. They have so little else I don't see a problem with letting them have this. I also don't hear anybody having a problem with the Cowboys having their game every thanksgiving so if anything they should give their slot up too. IMO keep it like it is, we already have the night game that gets a different pair of teams every year now.

When this game was scheduled, they probably didn't expect Tennessee to be 10-1 at this point in the season.
I'm sure they were hoping for an entertaining, competitive game between two 3-8 or 4-7 teams.
Tennessee just had to go and screw the pooch by running off 10 wins.
You can't blame Detroit for that...
