Why Tomlin?
Why Tomlin? 'He was going to be a terrific coach'
The Steelers liked what they saw in a Vikings defensive coordinator, and before long he won his team's respect. Now he's the youngest coach in Super Bowl history.

obviously be too dumb to coach.
The real question is ...Is Tomlin that good?... or did he just inherit a great team?
I'm just saying...

Good question and probably too early to tell. 5 years ago Jon Gruden was 'a good coach', now he 'inherited Dungy's team' so time will tell. My guess is Tomlin will be back there again unlike Gruden. The real question is ...Is Tomlin that good?... or did he just inherit a great team?Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

Now I've heard people blame chilly for a lot of crazy things but this takes the cake.

It still takes a lot of work to get a team there so he definately deserves credit.
But I won't crown him as a great HC just yet.
He is definately doing a great job though.

Re: Why Tomlin?
+1 to all except Vikestand
He wass offered a GREAT job and even had we offered way more money he wouldn't have stayed here
And I think all he did was add not much of a drop off as a coach and helped make the D play more sound
Otherwise thus far it's too early to crown him as a great coach

Tomlin took over an 8-8 team that was 1 year removed from the playoffs & took them into the playoffs in both of his first two years as HC, reaching the SB in only his second year.
Childress took over a 9-7 team that was 1 year removed from the playoffs & didn't get them into the playoffs until his 3rd year.

Tomlin is a great coach. After a win today, he will be one of the best in the league. And he will be one of the three to have a superbowl title
We're bringing purple back.
