I agree, he is probably better at coaching "TEAM" than most of the coaches out there right now.
I think he is really good at coaching the players and molding the team concept.
He surrounds himself with good coaches to to the rest.
He is a darn good coach.
Firing your current coach to hire Marty??
Browns need something different.
I think that this is Romeo's last dance this season.

What about Oakland they just hired a new coach but he doesn't mention them in the article.
If Childress doesn't have a better season next year and Ziggy lets him go hopefully Schottenheimer is still hanging around. What we've got here is failure to communicate.

My personal choice would be Vermiel. I would like to see him cry some more.
His first go around with Philly it looked like a complete full blown nervous breakdown.
What a show. After that it just became his trademark calling card.I care therefore I cry!
I guess Ditka could be pretty entertaining as well.
Schottenheimer just doesn't have enough character flaws to be entertaining.
Besides there are too many letters in his name for me to type. He'd need a nickname.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Marty's regular season record is unbelievable his draw back has been the post season because he is only 5 and 13, but if he wins a couple of Superbowls he will be looked at as a Tuna, Vermiel or Ditka. What we've got here is failure to communicate.

He, or Bill Cowher would suit me just fine.. I'll give Childress another chance to prove himself next season, but if he makes the same decisions next season as he did this season, I would can his butt in a split second..What about Oakland they just hired a new coach but he doesn't mention them in the article.

Us Viking fans are sick and tired of having a talented team go nowhere.. Tice was a decent coach, but didn't have the coaching support around him that Childress had in his first year.. Childress had all he wanted, and still made bone head mistakes that costed the Vikings last season..
I honestly don't think that Brad Childress will be around all that long.. He is a better coordinator then he is a head coach.. He needs to be a coordinator again in order to shine.. Lat season was evident enough for me that Childress just can't cut it as a HC..

If Marty is around next year I wouldn't mind see him as HC and or Cowher.

It would never happen at this point with Childress going into his sophmore year, but I would LOVE to see Marty in purple. He represents "old school" football to me. Plus, most of the players I've speak about him, do nothing but rave about him.
