Why Did Packers Turn Down Browns' Trade Offer?
I found this link on one of the enemies blog sites.
Those guys are shitting themselves.

The comments on the bottom are classic. For the most part, Green Bay Packers fans have not been happy that their team drafted Justin Harrell, a defensive tackle from Tennessee, with the 16th pick in Saturday's first round. But they'll be even more unhappy to learn that the Packers turned down a very good trade offer from Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage, who wanted the 16th pick so he could draft Brady Quinn. Peter King reports at SI.com:
Savage got a nibble from Green Bay at 16. Cleveland offered its first-round pick in 2008, and offered to flip picks with the Packers in rounds two, three and four. "I thought it was going to work,' Savage said. "But they thought about it, called back and said no.'
That's incredible. Why on earth would the Packers turn down an offer to get better picks in rounds, 2, 3 and 4, as well as a first-round pick in 2008 that's likely to be a high one, just so they can draft Harrell? If Harrell turns into anything less than a Pro Bowl defensive tackle, the Packers made a serious mistake by declining the Browns' offer.

Hard to believe they passed up that offer.
Guess they really believed in Harrell.
Browns definitely got the best end of this "no deal".

Because Thompson is an idiot. Why Did Packers Turn Down Browns' Trade Offer?
For a guy who doesn't do jack-shit in FA & relies on the draft for building a team, he blew an opportunity to get a better value had he gone with the trade.
He would have gotten the 3rd pick in rounds 2, 3 & 4 & the Browns 1st round next year, which still could be considerably low.

On the surface this looks like a moron was running the Packer draft.
I guess we'll see if the Packers were more right to say NO!

Hard to believe is right. I don't believe it. Why wouldn't the a team take this deal it would abviously be a good one, if the browns were willing to give up all that they could have traded with any of the other teams that passed on quinn.Hard to believe they passed up that offer.
