You're right. Any speculation on a team that is not the Vikings should cease immediately, In fact, the NFL portion of the forum should be completely deleted immediately.

    :
    Brett Favre/Jets or Aaron Rodger/Ted Thompson/Packers?

    The Packers.

    By far.

Anyone who says the Jets needs to take off the purple shades.

The Jets were 4-12 last year.

    They suck, big time.

Don't forget that they added Alan Faneca, our very own Tony Richardson, Kris Jenkins, Damien woody and a few other good players. Now throw a HOF QB into the mix and I'd say they're between a 6-10 and 8-8 team next year. They also went on to pick up TE Dustin Keller and DE Vernon Gholston in the 1st round of the draft.

What have the packers done other than lose the QB that took them to the playoffs last year? Brett Favre does a lot to make a teams running game look good. Ryan Grant was feeling it towards the end of last year but I highly doubt he repeats that production against some of the 8 man fronts that we faced last year.

Re: Who will win more games, the Packers or the Jets?

i think they will be the same, or near the same. anywhere from 6 to 9 wins seems logical for both teams. both teams are better than they were last year, besides the packers at the qb position. so the jets should be able to improve from their 4 wins and with their easy sched getting 9 wins is not unreachable. as for the packers, they are a better team, or should be, but have a much harder sched with having to play the colts division and then the cowboysas well as the bucs and saints who are both teams that can play spoiler. also most of their home games seem to be in the first half when the weather is still nice. last game of the year is against the lions in green bay, but by then i assume this will be a meaningless game
    We're bringing purple back.

really good point. the pack have lost their identity. you won't have to phear the gunslinger tossin his team downfield. rodgers hasn't earned the right to be respected.. they'll stack the box and force rodgers to earn that respect. .. 2 bad after jared hits him, kwill body slams him, and Pat sits on him..
    we'll be seeing Brohm.. /flush/repeat ..
now what? they are in serious crunch time problems very quickly. i don't see the pack going very far this year, unless rodgers is brady#2

Re: Who will win more games, the Packers or the Jets?

I think the Packers are going to struggle finding exactly who they are now that Favre is gone. Besides ... I actually had the Jets as a surprise type 7-9 or 8-8 team already ... so I definitely think this can get them to 9 or even 10 wins. Sounds crazy ... but they got a lot of talent in a lot of the right spots.

The Jets largely due to their week schedule than the addition of Favre. The thing is, Farvre will get the credit instead.

Re: Who will win more games, the Packers or the Jets?

I would have to say the Packers but it all depends on the play of Rodgers.
I hope the Packers flop, but with some of the competition they will play I can't see that happening with their defense.
As for the Jets, I want to see Favre go there and dominate just to show the Packers up and make them look like fools but the thing that stops me from rooting for them is that the better they do, the better draft pick the Packers get.
I don't want them to get that 2nd if they make it to the playoffs and God forbid a 1st with a SuperBowl appearance.
