Who really belongs in the Pro Bowl
Quote:
Bryant McKinnie, Vikings: McKinnie is actually a little overrated as a pass blocker, but he's underrated as a run blocker, and he's one of the reasons for the success of running backs, Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor.
Quote:
Pat Williams, Vikings: Yes, it's true that Williams comes off the field a lot to rest his 35-year-old, 350-pound body. But the most striking thing about watching the Vikings' defense is how much less effective it is against the run when Williams steps off. He's a special player, even if he has to take some plays off.

Re: Who really belongs in the Pro Bowl
*yawn*
I truly hate the Pro-Bowl.
It winds up being a big popularity contest with players from dominant teams locking up the vast majority of the votes.
This award should be ENTIRELY performance based, but most fans just vote for their guys or their favorite players, no matter who really IS better that year.

So true.
It's a joke and not even really something you can base a players performance on anymore.
Plus, now we will hear about all the Vikings that should make it.
Although there are some deserving, one must take off the purple tinted glasses and see tha there are players on other teams as well.

I know exactly what you mean, but I can't help but say E.J. Henderson definatly deserves some recognition for how he's been playing this year

i'll comment on myself rq cuz i just looked at who they put.
They listed Barrett Ruud as a good option, and i guess i can definatly see why he deserves it as well.
They both have very similiar stats tho.
Barrett Ruud 93 tackles, 66 solo, 3 FF, 2 INT, 2 Pass Def.
E.J. Henderson 90 tackles, 72 solo, 2 FF, 0 INT, 2 Pass Def.
Re: Who really belongs in the Pro Bowl
I voted a lot of Packers in, but there were players from other teams too that I voted. There were a few Vikings defenders I voted for that I can't remember their names. I can't seem to find the ballot to refresh my memory. But I know for sure I voted for Adrian Peterson.
But yeah, I agree - the Pro Bowl is a joke. It's boring.
