I clearly said that this only works out for the Bengals (as far as letting them sit) if they win didn't I? Obviously, if they let him sit and they lose they look foolish. And theys should probably move him, but at the same time ... it is getting quite tiring watching players bitch and moan and get traded whenever they want just by being jackasses."midgensa" wrote:
Only if the Bengals win.I think that the Bengals actually appear willing to let him sit out the entire season. This seems unreal to me, but if they do it ... and are at all successful ... then it will quite possibly change the way many teams do business with their primadona players in the future.
If the Bengals come out and go 6-10 or something of the sort they'll have shot themselves in the foot and still have Chad on the team, except a season removed from playing he'll be worth less and they'll lose out again.
With a team that has had so much upheaval the last couple years I think playing chicken with Chad Johnson isn't the best option, heck see if Arizona wants to do a swap or shop him around for picks, anything but letting him lose value and still losing.

I say Philly...they had such a positive experience with TO, they'd like to take a shot with CJ.

Along with the stupid owners who agree to pay these exorbitant salaries it has become extremely difficult for the average Joe to go to a game.
Not to mention drafting a guy in the top 10.
I sure wish they could come to some agreement on a ceiling and help pass on the savings on to regular ticket purchasers.
