What's your strangest encounter with other non-Viking fans?

Mine was in 1999 at the Broncos game on Halloween in Denver.

My gal and I came in full Halloween Viking attire and the seats were given to us by diehard Bronco fans friends that couldn't make it.
We were smack in the middle of pure Bronco fans.

We cheered for the Vikes and said nothing bad about the Broncos.
But these 2 guys in front of us were two fisting 20oz beers all the way through and were drunk and pissed when the Broncos lost.
The got in my face and drunker one took off my horns ripped the horns off and threw them over the siderail of the stadium.
They were $5 plastic horns messed up for Halloween so I just laughed, having won the game.
This was NOT what he expected and he didn't like it.
His friend and other Bronco fans stopped him from coming at me.

I continued to cheered "Go Vikings!" behind the guy as we left the stadium.
A bit nasty but I still didn't do anything too rude.
But just when he was about to go for me, we merged with a large group of Viking fans.
My gal told them what happened and they proceeded to surround the guy and SCREAMED "GO VIKINGS!" all the way out of the stadium.

Could have been bad for me, if it wasn't for Vikings fans and our support of each other.

Quickly, when in Tampa my gal was hit in the face by a kid with a Bucs flag and also hit in the face by an adult with a Bucs football after Vikes LOST.
I imagine both were accidental, but not great ending all the way around.

It is always a strange encounter when I see Packer fans. Unfortunately that is everyday.

After the AZ game last year we were partying after the game celebrating when two cardinal fans came up and were talking major trash.
I let them say there piece for a while, then I really pissed em off by doing the Jared Allen calf rope thing, and telling them how we owned them.
After that they calmed down, asked if they could have a beer, and went on their merry way........

haven't had too many crazy stories.. Got a couple funny ones tho

Before the home opener against San Fran Z and I were razzing the 9er fans a little bit... Starting chanting Shaun Hill with some other fans to them.. Good time

During the game my boy n i were sitting infront of 2 hispanic niner fans.. When they went up they decided to talk alot of trash.. When I said watch out we still have Brett they laughed.. When he threw the TD the looked at eachother shocked said something in spanish and walked off haha

And after the game I was super wasted running around the dome 3-4 times screaming "gunslinger" and things of that sort.. No idea why but it was fun.. And I got punched twice by 9er fans.. Good times

I have gone to my handful of away games ... but going to the Philadelphia Eagles contest in 2001 was definitely the strangest.

I was there with my lady friend and we were wearing our purple and of course getting a ton of middle fingers and shit from the nutso Eagles fans, but we did not care too much.

I think things went pretty easy on us. It was FREEZING cold and we were in the upper deck. We were surrounded by a group of season ticket holders who you could tell all knew each other and they definitely were razzing us.

It was 31-10 by halftime in favor of the Eagles and the razzing had mostly died down and everyone was fairly friendly. ... but here is where it got strange.

All of a sudden the ENTIRE section we were in started chanting "Fireball, Fireball, Fireball." We were like halfway up in the section and all the way down to the stairs and up to the top of the stadium was chanting "Fireball" and we were trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

We turned around to notice one of the guys that had been shooting the shit with us ... one row behind us and about five seat to my left ... was clearly the one they called Fireball.

He had taken his shirt off (and it is probably around 30-34 degrees) and was COVERED ... I mean like a fricking bear ... in red hair front and back and with a half-mullet and beard to boot. And the guy poored some sort of oil or what not on himself and proceeded to dance, shake his belly, and rub oil all over for about 3 minutes as the Fireball chant got louder and everyone cheered.

To this day ... I can't believe I did not have a camera with me.

My attorney has instructed me not to comment on that, no matter how far away from the "incident" we are.

Re: What's your strangest encounter with other non-Viking fans?

On a sorta related story, When I lived in LA (88-96) My buddies and I went to a lot of Raider games when they were there, and we happened to be at the Raider Steeler game where that Pittsburgh fan got beaten up badly, (1990 I think) The Raiders won by the way, Raider fans would throw beer cans, garbage, any/everything at anyone wearing opposing teams stuff, I'm talking families, kids, women, It was embarrassing, Now remember that a huge number of those fans were/are gangbangers, thugs, or just wanna be tough guys, If theres a stadium that shouldn't sell beer it was that one, (Rose bowl, a prehistoric building) No this doesn't have to do with the vikings but thought it might interest someone to know how those games were, I went to about 15-18 games, Also saw Bo Jacksons last game where he hurt his hip.
Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.
