What Team could the NFL do without?

In your opinion, what team could the NFL do without if they had to eliminate one team?

Jacksonville easily. There's three Florida teams and nobody wants to go to there games or watch them on TV.

The Packers of course. Just 'cause. Followed by the Cowboys in a close second.

They were the first one that came to my mind.

That wAS the first one to come to my mind also.

When I thought about the question, though, it really makes no sense to me. Why would the NFL eliminate ONE team, leaving us with 31? For that matter, why would they ever REDUCE the size of the league unless they had to for financial reasons? Not to mention the realignment issues again.

But OK, just for kicks, say they did have to downsize. It would be two teams, not just one. If Jax was one, the other would probably have to be an NFC teams for balance, although they could always swap conferences again like they did with Seattle the last time. For the sake of history, it should probably be Carolina, since they came into the league at the same time.

Another geographic possibility would be Cincinnati, as there are many teams in close proximity in the Midwest. You can't kill Cleveland, too much history. Ditto Bears and Packers. Detroit maybe?

Much as I hate to say it, if we can't get a stadium deal done soon in Minnesota, the Vikings might not be a bad choice. Shut down rather than move.

But overall, I still think Jacksonville and Carolina would be my first choices.

Ugh ... this guy again? He contributes nothing to this site but trolls for people to give opinions so he can use in his "articles" probably on bleacherreport.

The officiating team. Hell, they can't get it right anyway so why not just revert back to the honor system. The games would probably run closer to the rules that way from the looks of it.

Jacksonville and Carolina are both good shouts, i'd chuck the Bills into that mix too.
