Thread: Westbrook or LT

Re:Westbrook or LT
A few years ago, if you would have said that AP and LT were going to be playing on the same team, no one would have believed you. Now its (maybe going to happen) albeit a worn down LT, still having Peterson and Tomlinson looks in the same backfield will look awesome.
I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. I am an emotional 19 year old Viking fan and I expect you to adjust your expectations from my posts.

The word on the street says it won't be Fargas. :laugh:Well...if there is ANY free agent who you think fits best as our backup/third down back??
LT, Thomas Jones, Westbrook, Fargas, Parker, Leon washington(for a second round tender), LJ ?
I feel LT is our best fit. But of course at a low price!

Re:Westbrook or LT
I`d like LT for the only reason that he doesn`t fumble. Peterson was a fumbler, Taylor was a fumbler. Tomlinson doesn`t fumble.

LT also has 3410 career touches to Adrian's 998.
So yes ... Adrian fumbles WAAAAAAAY more than LT. Once every 49.9 touches to once every 126.3 touches.
AD has fumbled as many times in the last two season as LT has in his last SEVEN seasons.

Re:Westbrook or LT
LT is up there in age and does have a lot of miles on him but he was the best back in the NFL for a long time. I think he's grown up a little bit and realized he needs that championship to finish his career. He will take the back seat role to AP and should have a strong year. He's going to come in to this year with a chip on his shoulder trying to prove to everyone he still has what it takes. Keep in mind he's put up a 100 catch year so I think he will be an improvement in the receiving department it's the blocking part that he will need to work on. As a veteran he shouldn't have a problem with it and I think he will be a great addition. LT and AP in the same backfield never thought I'd see the day.

Doesn't change the fact that the number 27 is still bigger than the number 20. LT has fumbled way more than APgregair13 wrote:

Although Childress is familiar with Westbrook, his injuries pose too great a risk. I love the idea of having L.T. and A.P. together in Minny.
