The Dolphins tendered Welker, a restricted free agent, a qualifying offer of $1.3 million on Friday. The report said that the Patriots plan to sign Welker to a free-agent offer sheet. The Dolphins would then have seven days to either match their offer or pass.

Dang it, I was really hoping the Vikes would try their best to grab him.

I watched him play for the Dolphins - he caught everything thrown at him, had good quickness at getting seperation, and worked extremely hard even though he was on a horrible Dophins team.

Looks like we might have to address our WR position in the draft sometime.
