Warner Speaking With Mystery NFC Team!!!
http://azcardinals.com/blog/blog.php?author=1
Warner the free agent speaks
Kurt Warner did an interview with the Dan Patrick radio show this morning, talking about his current free-agent status. He joked about being unemployed, and mostly, he didn’t sound angry about the situation – a contrast to a guy like Anquan Boldin, who obviously has issues with the organization. If Warner isn’t angry, then I think you have to feel better that a deal can still be done.
“We haven’t seen eye-to-eye on the market that’s out there,†Warner said. “So I think my agent and the Cardinals are sometimes looking at apples and oranges and just have to get on the same page and hopefully something can be worked out.
“My whole goal is to be compensated fairly for what I have done. Exactly what that number is what I am trying to figure out.â€
Warner admitted he has already talked to “an NFC team,†although he wouldn’t say which one. At the same time during the 11-minute interview, he made it crystal clear he wants to stay in Arizona and even Patrick chided him for being a lousy negotiator. Warner said that’s what his agent and wife keep telling him.
But Warner also said “I do believe I have been underpaid†the last couple of years with the Cards and now is in position to rectify that. Retirement, he said, is still an option, but Patrick wasn’t buying it and, frankly, I’m not either. Warner is not ready to stop playing football.
Warner did say he would give up some of his money if the Cardinals could insure it would go directly to Boldin and make Boldin happy, but Warner also sounded wary of that being possible (and that makes sense; that’s a sticky situation to go into for both team and players). There’s no way to guarantee money surrendered by one deal will go to another player. Yet Warner sounded genuine, and frankly, he carried himself like he always does – with class. For a guy who could be frustrated right now, he just doesn’t sound it.
At one point, Patrick asked Warner if he was worried about public perception that he could seem greedy when the Cards are reportedly offering about $20 million on a two-year contract.
“(Players) understand when you look at it in the big picture and especially with what is going on in this economy that that is going to be looked at in that way – ‘Come on, 9, 10, 11 million dollars, are you kidding me? That’s ridiculous,’ †Warner said. “At the same time, we are in a market and you want to be compensated fairly for your job. Anyone out there would want to do the same thing.â€
HMMM??????!!!!!!

Re: Warner Speaking With Mystery NFC Team!!!
I've always liked Warner, came from being a grocery bager to a NFL QB.
He was never anointed by some NFL talking head as the next big thing and was considered nothing more than a spec on the radar.
So happy he's still going strong, and would be more than happy to see him in a Vikings uniform.

Re: Warner Speaking With Mystery NFC Team!!!
If it takes signing Boldin to make him happy, WTH, we can probably find a spot for both of them.
Its just money right.

Re: Warner Speaking With Mystery NFC Team!!!
I agree.
If the price is right I think Warner could come here even if he said it was just going to be either the cards or he was gone.
He def. could put us over the hump.
I think even Chilly knows Warner > Rosenfels.

THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!!! Cost us less than signing Haynesworth though."There are 3 things that sell in America:
