Re: VIKINGS #10 in Peter King's Fine Fifteen

Tarvaris Jackson spent his second straight game looking like a first-string quarterback.

    10. Minnesota (6-6). Yo, Adrian: At 1:16 p.m. ET, Adrian Peterson faked a Lion out of his jock and ran 28 yards, leading to the first touchdown in the Vikes' conquest of Detroit. Add an improved Tarvaris Jackson, and you've got a dangerous playoff contender, suddenly.
Glad to see people are putting us in the contender category.
    Agree.
Although I think the Vikings put themselves in the contender category by playing well in the middle third of the season.
Yah, but we are still only .500

What does everyone think our record will end at?
    Very true.
But the way we arrived at .500 makes a lot of difference.
Detroit is also a .500, but nobody is looking to them to be a playoff team right now.

I would not be at all surprised to finish 9-7, although I believe that 10-6 is attainable.
I agree, Redskins might be kind of tough but with the loss of Taylor (R.I.P) their pass def. is not as good.
We all know AD can run on any team so I am not worried about our running game.

    Nice observation by King.
    Is that what King said?
That's not even close to being correct.
Since the Vikes were shut out by Green Bay they have scored 112 points in 12 quarters (37.33 PPG)
    82 in 8 q or 112 in 12 q.
I think both statements are probably correct.
Not to pick teeth or anything but.... it would be 83 points in 8 quarters
    ;D
Let's not jip them of any points.

We need to win them all and go into the playoffs we a lot of confidence and mometum.

Arizona has a favorable schedule after Seattle so we need to control our own destiny.

You and me both....but if we ride AP i dont think we will have to worry too much. I think the old Tice Vikings might not have shown up, but with the way this team is playing, I expect them to be focused...especially with the way AP brings it every week.

Yeah they have seemed fired up the last two games, but good lord if they get big heads and over confident things could go bad.

I'm hoping its gonna be a big day for AD and a blow out.

Childress is not the type to to get the team emotionally charged for a game.
He would likely stick a huge
34-donut sign on the team chalkboard and send them out to prove they are better than that.
