Sorry, but that's just wrong in every sense of the word & a slap in the face to NFL players everywhere.

Honoring a guy with a the title "Comeback Player of the Year" because he was able to return to football as a starter after serving time in prison on felony charges?

Are you fucking kidding me!??

This award should be bestowed upon an individual who overcame adversity or a debilitating injury, not someone who served time in a federal pen.

Who will win it next? Plaxico Burress for overcoming a self inflicted gunshot wound & prison?

Unfortunately, if you cut out all of the criminal element in professional sports and kept it to the guys and gals who can control themselves and act like adults, there would be only a few people left. Believe me, the NFL needs the United Way far more than the United Way needs the NFL.

That one was more geared towards EJ & why he deserved to win it, hence it being in the Vikings forum & the title of the article. This one is more about Vick winning it, hence it being in the general football forum.
