    No thanks.
In his 6 years with the Falcons he was 38-28-1, not that impressive until you look at what they did without him starting during the same time frame, 10-20.
One thing about QB rating is it doesn't factor in rushing yards, which is obviously where Vick Excelled. If you count his rushing yards as passing yards and rushing TD's as passing TD's and fumbles as ints he has a QB rating of
84.5. Still not great but respectable.
That should fit right in the environment of mediocrity Childress is trying to build.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Also Vick is stll suspended indefinately by the league. So will he even get reinstated????

    http://www.ajc.com/services/content/printedition/2008/11/09/falinsider.html

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will have the final say on reinstatement because Vick is currently suspended indefinitely.

Goodell suspended Vick in August 2007 after he was ordered to stay away from Falcons training camp in July. In a letter to Vick, the commissioner called his conduct “cruel and reprehensible.”
There is no guarantee that he will be reinstated.
I thought Goodell had said that his suspension would not over lapped his incarceration. I'm assuming he would be suspended for atleast a year, which would start after his release. I don't think he gets reinstated before the 2010 season.

If he gets reinstated i say the Vikings bring him in to fight for the job. Dennis Green always believed in giving players second chances (look at Cris Carter). That would nearly impossible for teams to cover. You either got to pick Peterson to cover like mad or else Vick is gonna run on you. IF you focus on Vick, Peterson is gonna tear you up.

In all reality if you look back on Vick, he was a good QB. His receivers dropped the most balls in Falcons history. I would give him a chance.

    I would buy a jersey
I am all about a second chance and all that, but I don't know if I really want Vick here.
By the way ... Denny Green got to the Vikings AFTER Cris Carter, so he did not give CC his "second chance" ... Jerry Burns did.

I think the sentence fit the crime.
Wasn't his people killing dogs that didn't win?
    That's pretty cruel.

Animal cruelty issues, when done for sport, should include all animals, even chickens.

    Drew brees, 88.8 Career rating
    Brett Favre, 86.0 Career Rating
    Donovan McNabb 85.7 Career Rating
    Jake Delhomme 84.4
    Matt Hasslebeck 84.6
    Marc Bulger 86.6

lots of good players have ratings in that range.
If you think we're going to end up with someone like Peyton manning dropping into our laps, its not going to happen.

i do not believe his sentence was long enough.

HE KILLED ANIMALS AND RAN A DOG KILLING RING! he should be behind bars for up to 3 years without no parole!

    not for what he got.

but i wouldnt mind vick if we did sign him.

otherwise i dont want him unless he is our best option

He wasn't sentenced for the animal cruelty, he wouldn't even be in jail for this long had he just killed a few stupid dogs. Animal cruelty is not a federal offense.

He's in jail because of the enterprise aspect of it, the interstate commerce violations, illegal gambling, as well as some other charges... you'd never know it though, since the media focused solely on the dog fighting.
