Love this stat from Cold Hard Football Facts:

BONUS FACT: According to our explorations into the pro-football-reference.com search engine, teams that kick five or more field goals in a game have a record of 143-27 since 1960. Yep. This is how we spend our lives.

Hard to do.
Hard to believe there have been 170 of them.

There were 3 of them last year - including the Vikings' Week 2 loss to the Colts where Longwell had 5.

We kicked 5 not too long ago, can't remember which game.
Bironas kicked 8 field goals a couple years ago.

I would think there would be a bit more losses if you need to kick 5 FGs in a game

If you went in with the mindset that you were going to kick FGs to win, then the stats would drop significantly.

Actually I would think the opposite. You are obviously moving the ball well if you keep getting in range that many times. I am sure that team got a few TDs as well.

Are you accounting for the decades of play when the goal post wasn't set back 10 yds in the end zone?
You don't have to have that good of field position to kick a field goal.
