Unrestricted Free Agents In 2010

Then there is Chester Taylor... I really don't want to lose this guy. I can always rely on Chester when Adrian Peterson goes down with an injury. Remember when Adrian went down late in the season in his rookie year? Chester stepped up and we won all 4 games without Adrian.

I want to cross defensive ends of the list of possible free agent signing candidates after watching Ray Edwards back-to-back monster performances in the last couple of games.

In the last two Vikings games, Ray Edwards has an amazing 4 sacks (the same as his season best), 8 quarterback hits, 8 solo tackles, one forced fumble and one recovered fumble.

I don't know what got into Edwards' ass but hehas stepped up his game nicely.
I wonder if maybe his originaly thinking that everyone was going to key on JA and now they have to put someone on KW as well maybe RE was on to something.

I'll give him credit, RE's has picked up his game lately.....He played horrible in the Pitsburg game...

Obviously we need to try and keep Edwards. There is no reason to let him walk and think we can just plug Robison into the hole.
If we can make a play on Kampman (again) then maybe you do, but otherwise, we need to try and keep Ray.
I think Ray is shaping up to possibly be a franchised player ... though that might be a little pricey to keep him.

What I worry about is that this staff tends to try to resign the vets by now.
It would be interesting to know if his agent and the Vikes have already been talking or if there haven't been any discussions at all.

As to Robison.
I wouldn't be to quick to just count him out.
I for one never thought Ray could carry the extra wieght/stand up to the beating on running plays when in fact that is the strenght of his game.

You know Jimmy Kennedy is 30 right? Not everyone's going to play to 37+ like P-Will. He's a short term solution if he continues to up his play, but isn't our guy for the future.
