    Tyler Thigpin

TT isn't looking bad at all right now against the Bucs.
He is currently 6/8 for 60 yards and 1 TD and has a 37 yard TD reception also...
I'm glad to see him doing well and I still think it was a mistake to try and "sneak" him through waivers...

Yes, it's too bad we didn't get him through waivers. He was a really raw project, kinda like Tarvaris Jackson, but he's looking better now than T-Jack did in his first games. Maybe we should have put T-Jacks on waivers instead...

    Not even close.

T-Jack's QB rating is higher and that's despite Herm Edwards being the way more creative coach of the 2 teams. Not to mention T-Jack's only games this season were against the #2 and #6 pass defenses in the NFL.

Kinda really makes you wonder how pretty much every move Childress has made with our QBs these past 3 offseason has been a bad one.

I noticed that I made that mistake after making the thread... Just too lazy to change it... Thanks though

I liked his potential from the start. He has not gotten the kind of special attention Jackson got in his development so he is probably a bit behind him in that regard but I think his upside can be much higher. I watched them off and on today and I really like his poise and presence in the huddle and in the pocket.

Yeah hindsight is an awesome thing.

I think Thigpen will turn out to be a solid QB. His play in rookie preseason last year was so much better than Booty's this year. He has poise and more than anything else, he seems to be able to make all the passes. That is/was my biggest problem with TJ. He is good on the lasers but is not that good on the passes that need controlled touch.

    Oh well.

    Re: Tyler Thigpin

After watching Brooks Bollinger stink up the field right after our other former QB yesterday...the Vikes tried to "stash" the wrong guy.
    Nobody would have claimed Bolly.
