Yeah no one has said it's harmless.

Then if you think it's harmful, why do you do it?
I'm only an occasional user, but I do it because the benefits outweigh the risks by far.

Benefits being: It's really f'n fun.

Oh dear, some people just kill me.

Do you think my post count reflects how much I am on this site? Just because I have sub-100 posts doesn't mean I am not on here daily reading the latest news and happenings. Most of the time the opinion that I would like to post has already been said, or close enough to it to not warrant a few minutes coming up with my own post.

Also, I'd love to show you some factual evidence, something that so far(not to my knowledge) you have not found, proven, or brought forth.

Yes, in the links below, I am using Wikipedia as a source so deal with it. Since thee pro-weed users on this site are contesting any government websites as false, I am finding ones that have no link to the government. Plus, Wikipedia has input from thousands of different users, so you can't argue that just certain scientists or study groups picked out certain information.

This one is what is commonly known as 'science'...
    http://health.howstuffworks.com/marijuana3.htm
    http://health.howstuffworks.com/marijuana4.htm

And, for the record, it is illegal for a reason.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:World-cannabis-laws.png
Please explain to me why 40+ other countries have made it illegal as well? I don't think that they use our study groups or government for a basis of making it legal or not.

    Taken from the first link:
Most cannabis research within the USA is funded by government agencies who in turn publish position papers citing research studies that spotlight the negative consequences of cannabis use.[60][61] In light of this, some people question whether these agencies make an honest effort to present an accurate, unbiased summary of the evidence, or whether they "cherry-pick" their data, and others caution that the raw data, and not the final conclusions, are what should be examined.

Is that reason enough to question the validity of a source when being used by a governmental anti-drug agency? Or are more snide comments regarding our supposed denial of any and all facts on the way?

I don't even know why you posted the howstuffworks.com links...They just give a basic overview, and tell us nothing new. They're neither in your favor, nor against it.

And the color coded map with all the countries...Christ what is that supposed to prove? That other countries have made the same exact mistake as the US? That much is already certain...Maybe you're reinforcing the belief that the ban is entirely justified because other countries do it...Either way, it's poor reasoning.

    Marijuana should be decriminalized nationally.

One can legally possess just under an ounce of the stuff for personal use within the city limits of Madison Wisconsin where I live and I cannot find any problem with that. I actually think it is a good thing.
    Even babies know the difference.
