Regarding Big Dix...anybody have any idea what they mean by "a phone-booth power blocker"...it doesn't sound that bad to me, but maybe they mean that he is too one-dimensional...I would still like to have him with the Vikes as a backup!

I think they mean by phone booth is he doesn't have much movement in him. He blocks very well in a confined area. Basically if the defender gets more then a step on him in any direction he is in trouble because he doesn't have the agility to stop em.

Means he blocks well in space...but don't try to get him to be a pulling guard or tackle....but you point him in one direction he'll run people over.

I hope Freddie Mitchell doesn't get picked up by any team this year.

I hope we resign big Dix as a backup he is a heck of a good OL.

IMO, Dixon should be a starter for us this year. He's not an elite guard, but he's definitely a solid starter, and fits well with the rest of our line.

I remember seeing him flatten a few people last year. As a matter of fact, on one of the runs, he was the pulling guard, and he took out two defenders by himself. He literally knocked them both down. I think it was against Chicago, I know it was early in the year. He's an under-rated lineman.

Dixon also had a great year last year, I can't believe that no one has signed him yet.

I think Dixon will share time with Johnson for a few games and then Tice will work Johnson into the starting spot. Johnson is a really good rookie IMO.
