    Re: Top 5: Wide Receivers

    Fitz is the best. Unstoppable.
Andre Johnson is actually a close second because there are no hall of fame QBs throwing to him and there is nothing else on that offense besides a slick RB.
SS is overrated, but uncoverable when healthy.
RM has to be on the list. You are crazy to think he is not a top 5 guy.
What about TO dudes? By the numbers, all he does is score tds.
Wayne. Meh to him. In this case, the qb makes the wr.
    We're bringing purple back.

    Re: Top 5: Wide Receivers

I lke Wayne but I think having Peyton as his QB has helped him tremendously. I don't consider him top 5. Also, I'm a huge fan of Jennings...originally wanted the Pack to draft him and pass on the media favorite, Chad Jackson...and when they did I was extremely happy, but he isn't top 5 yet. I'd say he is top 10, however

top 5 for me would be

    1. Fitz
    2. Andre Johnson
    3. Randy Moss
    4. Calvin Johnson
    5. Brandon Marshall

Of course, Brandon Marshall's off the field issues could bump him down. Dude is an idiot

Peterson drops too many balls too.
    TO is definetly top 5.

    Peterson isn't a WR

I like poisonings list up there

    I gotta go with:

    Moss
    Fitz
    Andre
    Megatron
    Roddie
    Steve Smith
    Jennings
    Marshall

Any of them over TO personally

    Re: Top 5: Wide Receivers

Hard to not put someone in the top 5 that has 8 1000 yard seasons and 3 straight years with 10+ TDs

But his 10+ drops slide him down a bit for me

And I wanna see how he does in Buffalo with a shit QB

    Re: Top 5: Wide Receivers

Randy Moss is still the best WR in the league and would prove that with either Tom Brady or Kevin O'Connell tossing him the rock this year (O'C should have started last year over Cassell, IMO)

Unlike 07' Moss is now running screen passes / reverses and stuff of that nature.
In 07' he wasn't able to do that because he was coming off of a hamstring injury and Belichick didn't want to re-injure it.
I'm excited to see what kind of numbers he will put up in that offense.

    2nd.
Larry Fitzgerald, the guys a beast.
He is actually better at attacking the ball at it's highest point then any other WR i've ever seen.
On top of that he has a good vertical (not Sidney Rice good!)
He works very hard and is really smart.
He can read coverages and exploit matchups against almost any corner in the league.
Interchangable with AJ on my list.

    3rd.
    Andre Johnson.
As long as he isn't going against Nnamdi Asomougha you can expect him to put up huge #s.
The yardage he puts up will be huge if Shaub (my sleeper candidate in fantasy) doesn't get injured.

    4th.
    Steve Smith.
Pound for pound, inch for inch the best player at the position.
He isn't huge but he can make huge plays.
He isn't great in the redzone which is why I dropped him down my ranking (he had only 1 TD from within 15 yards last year...) The guy is a fighter and can break tackles better then any other WR in my top five.
He's extremely fast and has a huge 41 inch vertical, allowing him to outjump larger defensive backs.

    5th. Calvin Johnson.
The second most athletic WR ever.
He is a mismatch for almost any Dback in the league.
He has the potential to be the top WR very soon.

    Re: Top 5: Wide Receivers

I was living in Charlotte in 2007 and was truly impressed by Steve's Smiths ability to play at a high steady level when he had 4 different QB's start.

    Delhomme 3 games
    Testeverde 6 games
    David Carr 4 games
Matt Moore 3 games (scrapping the bottom of the barrel here, but Smith still got 22 rec for 257yds)

    Amazing IMO
