Wouldn't that mean our left would be their right?

I meant that Peppers will be lining up on our right side.

I figured that, the Panthers are a team that I have learned to hate. Good D though.

I guess that's another good reason to get a great Fullback in the off-season and maybe keep the tight end on that side.
People act like we don't have a right side of the line. But Johnson shows potential to be better than McKinnie in my opinion.

I'm concerned about shutting down their offense. Right Fred Smoot?

Re: Top 5 Defenses in '06

Could the Vikings defense be in the top five in '06 ?

Sounds pretty far fetched for a team in the weakest division of the weakest conference.

That is why Da'Bears aren't ranked in the top five. And, oh yeah, their defense was exposed at the end of last year by the Steelers and by the Panthers. Both teams discovered favorable size mismatches as long as they played very physical football. Remember the bus pancaking Urlacher down at the goal line?

The Vikings have been increasing their offensive line size in free agency and the draft. And Childress is emphasizing conditioning.

Last year the Vikings defense wasn't very good until late in the season. They were pretty darn good once Kevin Williams recovered from injury and played his way into shape.

That defense only gave up 18 points to the eventual superbowl champion Steelers; and the Steelers had a runback to the Vikings 15 yard line by Randell El.

It was a game played in Minnesota that both teams HAD to win.

So can the Vikings defense finish in the top five this coming season ?

That would be tough to do when considering some of those powerhouse AFC teams.

But the Vikings defense could easily be in the top 12 in the league or better with good linebacker play.

    Even better than the Bears!

    There. That's my off-season prediction.

That's funny because I remember the Bears and Tampa were 1 and 2 respectively and on the last week of the season we screwed the Bears because they put in their backups! That was truly funny!

Thank you Josdin for the sig
