    Re: Top 100 NFL Prospects

With the exception of the "RIGHT KIND" of WR if one is available...I would almost have to say we need a defensive player....I would like at the Safties, CBs and D-line (Pass Rush) players intensively.

    Cheers!

If not let's go after a DE...

Would Antoine Cason be there still at our selection??? Probably not.??
I'd like to focus more on CB than DE.

I like what our young DE's bring to the table right now. Between Edwards and Robison, they should mature into a couple of great DE's. Udeze and James are still young too, and when healthy, aren't bad options at DE.

I agree with that .....that's why I was thinking Antoine Cason...but I have a feeling he will be gone by our pick??

I'd say with Griffin, McCauley, and Gordon we have enough young talent at CB as well. With both positions I think if you have issues
you don't try to add more rookies but try adding a young veteran.

I would rather add a veteren at CB and QB. I am thinking Asante Samuel and Donovan McNabb. The only problem is that these guys are going to cost us a lot. So I would like to grab Jake Long for sure. Seems like he could make an immediate impact.

I don't understand why everyone thinks we should draft Jake Long.
??? I mean, don't get me wrong, I think he'll end up being a pretty good offensive lineman. But, the Vikings already have a LT. And yeah, I know what your thinking. "Oh, why don't we just move Bryant Mckinnie to RT?" Sorry, but that's not a good idea. Our offense line has gelled too well this season to start making any dramatic changes.

    15. Rashard Mendenhall* - RB - 5'11" 215 lbs. - Illinois
Powerful junior tailback has been a workhorse runner and is the main catalyst for the Illini's resurgence.
Cmon Rashard stay another year! We need you!.....It will be worth it since we will be national champs!

Did you even read his profile?

    Jake Long - OT - 6'7" 320 lbs.- Michigan
Physical senior tackle has performed well on both sides of the line.

lol, I already know he's played well on both sides of the line.

But let's be real here, whoever drafts Long will most likely have him play the left tackle position. I mean, how many tackles that are drafted top 5 (which Jake Long will be) end up playing RT for their respected franchise. Not many. The only one I can thing off of the top of my head is Levi Brown to the Arizona Cardinals in the 2007 NFL Draft. And the only reason he's playing right tackle is because his QB, Matt Leinart, is left handed. (unusual blindside)

My point is, tackles who are taken that high in the draft are expected to play the the hardest position on the offensive line, which is left tackle. (Orlando Pace, Johnathan Ogden, Walter Jones, etc.)

    27. Matt Ryan - QB - 6'4" 220 lbs.- Boston College
Strong armed senior quarterback has continued to impress over his final season.

Brohm is going to be gone by our pick, unless something dramatic happens.

i'd like to see some offensive weakness addressed in this upcoming draft, more specifically QB and WR. I'm convinced that TJ isn't the answer AT ALL, and it's time to bring someone else in. Problem is, we'll have to wait for that player to develop, while our team slowly ages. Our defense is in it's prime right now, and it's going to have to continue with the younger guys once the older guys retire/leave. (sharper, Phat Pat, winfield eventually)

I also hate the lack of a true #1 receiver, or even a receiver that is somewhat of a threat. Of course, that could be due to an unstable QB at the helm...

just for the sake of seeing a good QB for a change....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCL1ApVfx6s
