Re: Tom Cable=Douchebag of the year

    All signs point to guilty.
However, there is still this little thing in this country i call due process.
Do the words innocent until proven guilty mean anything any more?

Sure, I guess it's possible his ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, And assistant coach are conspiring to make him look like a woman beater, Highly unlikely, But possible, If it walks like a duck, talks (Quacks) like a duck......I guess that means he's a duck

I think it's exaggerated. Any of you married guys know that women tend to stretch the truth (i.e. gossip) more than guys, and none of this was ever proven, thus it's only allegations, thus he was never charged, nor arrested. I think the upcoming investigation will reveal the truth.

also notice how on ESPN, they could only say reportedly or allegedly. If they said he did it and it can't be proven, then a slander/libel lawsuit would bankrupt them. It's typical big story news.

Actually the ex-wife produced an apology letter from Tom saying he was sorry he hit her (Actual words were-"When I hit you") I seriously doubt there would be any lawsuit against
ESPN, Regardles of how much anyone tries to defend him-I don't think theres a conspiracy to defame his character from women who don't know each other, and an assistant coach, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's guilty, has anger issues and has hit women in the past. Conspiracy theories are usually nonsense, It's more often than not true.

It's also known that wives, ex wives, girlfriends and ex's DON'T file charges against their husbands/boyfriends, ("He's never done this before", "He loves me", "He's getting help", "He said he'd never do it again")
I think an investigation would be an open and shut case of guilty, The actual letter he wrote saying he was sorry he hit her seems like pretty good evidence to me, And I'd say all this if I was a hardcore Raider fan, Theres no place in free society for cowardly women beaters. If this was similar to the Roethlisberger case where a fan who supposedly wanted him, And bragged about it afterword, then a year later filed charges I would be a lot more skeptical of the whole thing, Regardless of the whole thing, I'm not trying to start an argument with anyone on here, It just seems like more than a coincidence that three different people have had violence issues with this guy.

No offense, I'm not wanting to piss anyone off who believes in due process.
