Re: Titans not interested in re-signing Randy Moss

I would love to see the old Moss back on the team but in the end he is now over the hill in WR years and at this point he has squandered so much of his career that his only chance at redemption is to get on a team on the verge of a SB.

The bummer for him is he was in that situation at least 2x and still didn't get a SB win so I am not sure where his chances lie at this point except maybe signing with the Packers.

    Think about this:

You can check into this but my guess is he is the only player in NFL history to go 31-1 in 2 different years with 2 different teams and not win a SB.

In the end he was a contributing factor in the failure of both teams to win those 2 games.

So would I. I think he'd be a great weapon to solidify our WR Corps, and help take some pressure off our new QB options.

I would too & like to see him retire a Viking, but at the same time I don't want a condescending Moss back here that belittles caterers & other people.

Check that at the door please.

Now if we only had a QB with a strong arm that could throw a good accurate deep ball consistently.

I am not even convinced he can get deep enough any more to outrun Ponders arm.

It's also interesting how a noodle arm QB like Pennington could throw for like 102 TD's and 30 INT's in his last 3 years in college and make Randy Moss a household name.

    Probably had great TE's.

Outrun Ponders arm? Is there any draft experts out there that say Ponder has a strong arm?

I'm not sure if he was indicating Ponder had a rocket arm, or Moss can't run fast anymore? Or maybe a combo of both.

I would say, that yes, Moss absolutely can out-run Ponder arm

Rice outran Favre's Arm, Favre has a big arm, Rice isn't very fast.

The point was that he may not be all that fast any more.He didn't look all that great even in Tennessee last year.

At this point in his career his greatest asset is as a decoy and i am not sure he is happy with the role but that is basically what he is.

I understand he outran Revis once last season and he might have a burst or 2 in him yet but he isn't going to be able to do it on any sort of regularity.

He's not AS fast as he was, but he's still pretty damn fast. He didn't look great becuase he didn't want to be in Tennessee, and they didn't seem to want to do anything with him. With us he was still fast enough to get open, and with the Pats he was definitely fast

At this point in his career his greatest asset is as a decoy and i am not sure he is happy with the role but that is basically what he is.

He'll do it when he wants to do it. That is and has always been the issue with him.

However, he can still beat pretty much any corner out there in a jump ball. He's a threat in the redzone, something we'll be losing if Rice leaves. Our slew of 5'8" to 6'0" receivers don't pose as much of a threat in that department.

Teams didn't want him mid-season. I guarantee there will be teams interested this offseason.
