Time to settle this: Who's the best DT?

There seems to be a large dispute over which defensive tackle is the best in the NFL today. Many people argue that Titans' Albert Haynesworth is the best, others say Bears' Tommie Harris is. Many people also claim that Vikings' Kevin Williams is the best, however, some say that Kevin is not even the best DT on his team. To me, these people together make up the cream of the top, but who gets the nob?

What do the members of PurlpePride.org think of this query?

I'd say Kevin will be if he has the production this year - with the addition of Allen - that we all hope.

Until then I go with Henderson.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Time to settle this: Who's the best DT?

Each player is good for their team and does just a little bit different because of who they are playing with. This year it might be proven that Kwill is the best in the league, but with Pat on one side and Allen on the other, is he still going to dominate as much as he is going to this year? I am going to guess no.

I vote for Tommy Harris. Been doing it for longer and when he is out of the lineup for the bears, it seems to be a bigger lose to them than Urlacher is. Jamal Williams is underrated. Henderson and Haynesworth are both head cases, and that isn't a bad thing.
    We're bringing purple back.

After the Titans game, I have to say that Haynesworth is the best.

    It's hard to pick.
Tommie Harris (when healthy) and Kevin Williams are the best 3 techs in football.
Jamal Williams probably plays the nose better than anyone.
Haynesworth probably is the best of both worlds (pushing the pocket and stuffing the run).

I was watching Kevin Williams today, and he gets GREAT push on most plays.
Pat Williams is the one who takes up his two blockers usually, staying pretty stationary on the line, but Kevin is a force. Kevin was the only one who was getting consistant pressure in the first half. Even though the stats will not show how good he did today because of the gameplan the Titans had, running that trackstar to the outside, took Kevin out of the game for the most part.

I'd say the Vikings got the nob pretty hard on the first half challenge.
Rock out with your cock out!!!
