    Tice helping the Jags

    http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/062206/jag_3582104.shtml

I won't bore you with the whole article, but this nugget appeared about Tice's coaching for the Jags.

He said another positive is that assistant head coach/offense Mike Tice has added some new concepts to the running game and that new offensive line coach Andy Heck is improving the blocking to help the running game.

"Mike [Tice] has been around a lot of terrific offensive play in Minnesota, and he's brought something in here, and we've taken a look at it. We've tweaked our system to tailor it to the people we have,' Del Rio said.
What he's brought in is how to have the players jump offside 10 times per game.

And how to time it exactly so that every replay challenge you make is wrong.

If they are letting Tice impact their running game then they have some serious issues.

I guess they will need to hire 3 more RB's so Tice can implement his golden plan of RB by committe and so they can all get just enough carries to never develop and never succeed.....

Sounds like a good move for the Jags.

    Time will tell.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

Tice was a good O-line coach...he needs to just stick with his strengths...leave the coordinating to the coordinators and head coach.

That's nothing new. Tice was helping other teams when he was still coaching the Vikes.

RM: "So we can move the chains....."
Tice: " WOAH hold up the what.....move the wha..."
RM: *Sigh* "He's trying to score so you can keep your job"
Tice: "OH OK." "GO DAUNTE GO!!!"

    3 seconds later...........

Tice: " Hey Randy, come here a sec."
    RM: "Yeah coach?"
Tice: "Hey why did Burleson make that funny hand gesture?"
RM: "What hand gesture?" " You mean this? (SEE PICTURE)"
Tice: "YEAH LOL WHAT IS that anyways...."

    RM: " He's.....trying......to....catch the pass."
    Tice: "And thats.......good......right?"
RM: "SOMEONE get coach a treat he is learning........"

    2years later.........
    Breaking news!

    :laughing3:

    Man, that's COLD!!!!

Tice is actually a very good position coach and will most likely grow into a coordinator's position in a few years. His main problem was game management and discipline...once he gets a handle on those issues...which I DO believe he has the capacity to do, he will get another chance. Look at Belichick's first gig...I'll bet that the Browns wish that they had him NOW!
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE
