The Thumb will be just fine, although it is really really sore right now. Offensive linemen are asked to keep their helmets out of the way of the QB's arm motion during pass-plays, and a new rule proposed by The Thumbs lawyers restricting oppsing team players from coming anywhere NEAR The Thumb should pass the NFL's Rule Committee this Friday. Whew! Just in time for the sore Thumb's appearance at the Packers-San Fran game on Sundee.
So a lot of positive news on The Thumb this week. Other options being considered by The Thumb:


<ul><li>Playing left handed </li><li>Running the football only, save a shuffle pass here and there by The Thumb </li><li>Replacing the thumb </li></ul>

While replacing The Thumb would be the obvious choice, it is a little late in the season for that. The Bye-week or any time PRIOR to the injury to The Thumb would have been better as far as timing for Thumb replacement surgery goes.[tu]
