Clay Ford is to the Lions what Henry Ford was to the Edsel.

Re: Things getting nasty in Detroit

Having recently lived in the Detroit area, I can say that the LIONS have some very loyal fans.

In fact, Michigan in general is a huge sports market and has had more than its fair share of Champions.
I don't think I've ever lived / visited a state that is so into its sports as Michigan is.
No wonder there are lots of successful college and professional teams in that state . . . except one.

    Why?
    Nobody knows.
They claim its a curse and who knows, it could be true.
Maybe its time to boot the team and start from scratch in a few years.

The Lion is the model that Ford needed to discontinue instead of the Taurus.

YIKES! Just read a column and a bunch of threads in the Detroit News following the Vikings game. This town is PO'ed! They want Ford to take the entire NFL team out of Detroit and move it to some other town. They were just on Millin before, now they are losing touch with reality!

Here's a quote from one writer:
The time has come to speak the conscience of all the proud, overly patient, hard-working, God-fearing folks of the hardest working city/state in this country when I say: MR. WILLIAM CLAY FORD, MATT MILLEN, ROD MARINELLI-(Or any buffoon that would be crazy enough to take this job under it's current ownership.) AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE COLLECTIVE CLOWN CREW THAT WEARS THE HONOLULU BLUE AND SILVER? PACK UP CAMP AND GET OUT OF OUR TOWN!!!
