Childress should never have risked him testing the waivers in the first place...He had to stick with his boy Bollinger...
Correct me if I'm wrong, my memory on this isn't to great, but Thigpen had a much better preason than Bollinger didn't he?
I know Thigpen did well, but I don't remember Bollinger's preseason too well...he stunk it up pretty bad didn't he?

Tyler Thigpen was sent through waivers to be placed on the practice squad because the Vikings picked up Kelly Holcomb late in the 2007 preseason.

Thigpen was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs and placed on their active roster.
Because of this, Thigpen did not have a choice to sign with the Chiefs or not, as would have been the case had he cleared waivers.

In one partial game of action in 2008, Thigpen has a 42.4 completion percentage, 4.6 YPA, and a 1/1 TD to pick ratio.
Those are dismal numbers by any measure.

I guess we'll see what he can do as a starter.
