I see the commercials for NFL Network Having live games starting on Thanksgiving.Does this mean no football unless you have NFL Network?I sure hope not.Monday Night Football on ESPN means you can't watch without cable.Looks like the NFL may end up as pay-per-view.I can't afford that.
No, it doesn't mean that at all.
You just won't get the Thanksgiving night game.
The day games with the Cowboys and Lions you will see, as usual, on the regular broadcast networks, FOX and CBS.

The NEW Thanksgiving night game is exclusively on the NFL Network.
Some cable companies carry the NFL Network, some do not.
I have Charter cable and they do not.
So I'm going to miss the Thursday night telecasts, except for the Vikes-Packers on 12/21, which will be carried (as noted elsewhere) on a local channel in the TC.

Oh man! Please don't tell me I might actually have to talk to the family on Thanksgiving.Noooooo! Maybe I'll volunteer to work that day.
Just bring a recorded game and watch it if you have to.
The people you don't want to talk to won't know the difference and the other people that are in the same situation will give you celebrity status.

Suddenly, Gramma looked in from the kitchen where the last dishes were just being dried.
She pushed her glasses up on her nose, put a hand on her hip and asked:
"When did Tom Landry rise from the dead and start coaching the Cowboys again?"

We knew the jig was up.
