Notice who is tied at 22nd in the league with ST's tackles....... Does that mean Jasper is just as good as Heath?

How about Sanford and Frampton, they are only one tackle behind those two.....: ;D

How about rankings on pressures on QB by C'rs.
Notice who is just behind Matt by one?

    gol 'darnit good site.
Course, those that only worry about wins and losses probably won't like it.
    ;D
ahh... your forgetting the effect that having good ST players on the field has though.
On any play, only one player can have a solo tackle.
What experienced guys like Heath are good at, is not just tackles, but being in the right position.
Leave your lane too early and you open up a hole.
Run your lane too long, and you will miss the tackle.
Being in the right spot forces the returner to look elsewhere and end up getting tackled by someone else.
Kinda like how having Jared Allen makes the other players on our DLine better.
LOL, OK, he's in his lane providing leadership.

Comeon, other than the penalty he cause last weekend, when was the last time you heard his name called on ST's.
    Been along time.
Probably cause he is busy providing leadership.
    ;D
When was the last time you heard Tahi's name?
    Touche'.
Lets not forget, my stance on Tahi is that he doens't really play a role were his name would/could be mentioned.

    OUCH......
    http://www.profootballfocus.com/by_p...=25&numgames=1
oh, and Farwell is in a role where his name would be mentioned frequently?
Last game we scored 5 times, thats 6 kickoffs.
With 10 guys trying to make the tackle you can't expect him to get all of them.
Actually, half of the time they don't even say who makes the tackle.

    Wow, that site is awesome.

If you use that site only to determine who has the most special teams tackles, I think you are missing out big time.
I don't think I've ever seen a site that actually breaks down the play-by-play formations and personel in that easy fashion.
The ratings also deserve a closer look to see exactly what they are doing there.

This will definitely be one that deserves regular visits.
    Thanks for the post.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

I like the DVOA site as well but half of it I don't understand.
    Like this site much better.

    From the site.....

I think some of your grading is wrong, what do I do?

A little while ago I showed someone the site and he opined "you've got X near the bottom of your rankings and yet he went to the Pro Bowl so they must be wrong". Firstly I explained that we had just half of his games and unfortunately had coincidentally chosen some of his worst games so that may have a little to do with it. Secondly he WAS very poor indeed in most of those games so perhaps (just perhaps) it wasn't our grading that was wrong.

The truth is I'm really keen for someone to challenge the work on rather more legitimate grounds. I'd love for someone to say I also went through this game on a play by play basis and came up with some clear discrepancies in comparison to your work, can we discuss them? I think it's on that basis we get better and make the whole thing more accurate.

If you've done a play-by-play analysis then we'd be delighted to compare notes. You can contact us using the Errors choice in the Contact Us section.

Let me add my thanks for putting this link (ProFootballFocus.com) on here, It's ridiculous!! A stat for everything, I've already spent a good hour avoiding my family looking up meticulous stats for any/everything. Great stuff!

Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

I am going to hit the "contact us" button and tell them how much I like the site.
Additionally, I am gonna ask them if they have the staff to do this with the college game.

Can you imagine what my 7 round mock would look like if I had this stuff on the college kids?

I would rather imagine having a threesome with Betty Ford and Nancy Reagan.

    You love the mocks.
    Admit it.

Heck, I bet you looked at all of my guesses for the Vikes and probably scanned at least the first 3 rounds of all the picks.
